On May 18, 2013, the National Stadium Mané Garrincha in Brasília was inaugurated.

It had been built under sustainable aspects (saving rain water, using solar energy etc.) and offers seating for 70.000 visitors.

The stadium may not only be used for sport events like the World Cup 2014 (COPA 2014) but also for open air music shows. In the interior, halls may be booked for social events, too.

In the outbound areas still a lot of works have to be done, like parking space, green areas and shops etc, – but there is still enough time till 2014 to finish everything.
Hundreds of people are engaged and busy working to bring the opening game Brazil – Japan of the Federation Cup (Copa das Confederacões) to a success; it will take place on June 15.
All workers had been invited to assist this game.
