The Museu da Cachaça was recently inaugurated on December 20, 2012, in Salinas, situated in the North of Minas Gerais. The city counts with the country’s largest production of cachaça.
The museum shows the production procedure and the characteristics of „cachaça artesanal“ by fotos, videos, audios and an exposition of 1.750 bottles of cachaça produced in Salinas.
In the „ Sala do Aroma“, the visitor may also learn to recognize different types of cachaça by smelling their aromas.
In the archives of the museum, material and information had been collected about the history of brandy production, from the cultivation of sugar cane, the handicraft production of cachaça by destillation up to its commercialization in Brazil and in the world.

Oração do Pau D’Água
Hic!
